It had calmed down a bit since last I tasted it and had a more mineral taste to it than before, just enough to balance the fruit and odd spices. We drank it chilled since I did not feel like waiting for it to get to room temperature, so it started out intensely smooth and as the temperature warmed, so did the taste.

2001 Penfold's St. Henri Shiraz
Yep, I could not stand it anymore. I drank the last of the vintage.

I think that I do have one or two of this vintage still lying about. Maybe they will make it 10 years!
I've got a bottle of the 2000 Bin 128 I'm saving until 2010 for you, raph and me to drink.
